Kareem Khalil and Fifi Furrha, a Los Angeles couple known for their @dontstopmeowing account, lost their cat Skye on August 2 after she was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy a year earlier. Since then, they have visited her grave at a pet cemetery to leave her flowers and talk to her, as if unwilling to let go completely.
On one of those visits, while they were decorating the headstone, a stray cat they had never seen before appeared out of nowhere. She did not hesitate or hide: she walked straight toward Furrha and climbed onto her lap as if she had known her all her life.
Khalil later called the cemetery to ask about her. No one could say where she had come from or whether she had an owner. Only that she appeared on that very day, in that very place, to sit on the legs of a woman who still cries for her cat.
