Houra Inaba, 23, was walking down a street in Nagoya, Japan, after one in the morning, with a friend by her side. She was not walking distractedly or facing any visible risk. The danger came from above.
Shinsei Taguchi, 29, fell from the 12th floor of an apartment building near Yabamachi Station. The impact occurred directly on Inaba. Her friend managed to call emergency services while both were rushed to the hospital.
Here is what does not add up: Taguchi, who fell twelve floors, is still alive although in critical condition. Inaba, who was merely walking on the sidewalk, died from the impact. Aichi Prefectural Police are still investigating the causes of the fall, in an area as busy as the Sakae district.
