Cora is missing one entire ear, part of the other, and part of a front leg. A meat slaughterhouse in China took all of that from her when she was seven years old.

They rescued her in time. First, she went through Harbin SHS Animal Rescue in China. Then she traveled halfway around the world to the United Kingdom, where 8 Below Husky Rescue, an organization dedicated to rescuing sled dogs, took her in.
There, her caregivers created routines to help her strengthen her muscles and learn to move safely on three legs. Her body is not the problem. Cora has so much energy that she forgets she is missing a leg.

Today she lives in a foster home while the rescue searches for a forever family for her. She does not ask for pity. She asks to be taken for walks, to be allowed to feel the fresh grass, and to have her belly scratched.
Her scars tell the story of where she came from. Every step she takes tells the story of where she is going.
