Kelida Marques, a medium from Brazil, visited the former Carandiru prison in Sao Paulo shortly before its demolition in 2002. During the tour, she is seen suffering intense anguish, nausea, and a feeling of suffering connected to the people who died there.

Her physical expressions came through the screen and left viewers frozen by the magnitude of the scene.

Carandiru prison was the scene of one of the worst prison massacres in South America. On October 2, 1992, a fight between inmates ended in a brutal police intervention. More than 300 armed officers entered the facility and, in just 20 minutes, killed 111 prisoners and injured another 110.
