No one asked Grupo Bertran for anything. One day, they decided that their bags of lime, the ones that travel daily through hardware stores and construction sites in León, Guanajuato, would carry something more than construction material: they would carry faces.
One of those faces is Jonathan Segundo Ventura’s. He was 26 years old when he disappeared on February 23, 2022, in Valle de Chalco, State of Mexico. According to his family, he got off public transportation after an argument with his partner, and they never heard from him again. His mother is still waiting for a call, a clue, someone to recognize him.
Recently, other families asked major brands to print photos on milk cartons. Grupo Bertran showed that it was not a far-fetched idea; all it took was willingness. Because to you, it may be just a photo on a bag of lime. To a mother, it may be the image that finally reaches the right eyes.
