David Scott Jr. confronted staff at an elementary school. According to police, the father of a first-grade student at Pleasantview Elementary School in Eastpointe, Michigan, threatened to shoot up the school because he believed his son had not received a snack or had not been given enough time to eat it.

Scott entered a no-contest plea to two charges: intentionally threatening violence against a school and indecent conduct. The sentence included one year of probation, 30 hours of community service, and anger management therapy.

He was credited with 100 days already served in the county jail; no additional incarceration was imposed.
