Claire Scott beat breast cancer, which forced her to make extremely difficult decisions. At 31, she received a complex diagnosis, with 3 tumors and lymph node involvement. Chemotherapy reduced the disease, and she then fought for a double mastectomy that saved her life.
Years later, motherhood came knocking again. After 4 rounds of in vitro fertilization, she became pregnant with her last embryo. Her happiness came with unexpected sadness, because the surgery that allowed her to stay alive also means she will not be able to breastfeed her baby.
When she shared her situation on Facebook, around 20 women offered to donate breast milk free of charge. Claire has already started collecting colostrum and is making room in her freezer. After so many treatments, that help arrived like a network of arms before the birth 💛
