Jun Woo was only 4 months old and about to take his first flight.

His mom knew it: ten hours between Seoul and San Francisco are an eternity when your baby might burst into tears at any moment. So, before the plane took off, she did something no one had asked her to do. She put together more than 200 little bags with candy, gum, and earplugs, and handed them out one by one to the passengers.

Inside each bag was a note written in the baby’s voice: “Hi, I’m Jun Woo. I’m 4 months old, and today I’m traveling to the United States with my mom and grandmother. I’m a little nervous and scared. It’s normal for me to cry or cause some disturbance. I’ll try to stay calm, but I can’t promise. Please use them if my voice gets too loud. Thank you”.

The passengers couldn’t believe it. Dave Corona, one of them, shared the gesture on Facebook, and the story went around the world. And the best part is the ending: Jun Woo didn’t make a sound during the entire flight. The earplugs became keepsakes.
