You would never imagine that a meeting place and source of enjoyment like a pizzeria would be the scene of such a cruel crime. In Ukraine, a 39-year-old woman was arrested in a dramatic operation after selling her little boy, just 6 years old. The incident occurred in the city of Lutsk, in the Volyn region.
The woman tried to solve her financial problems by handing over the child in exchange for approximately $25,000. But she never imagined that the buyer himself would report her to the police. After receiving the cash, undercover agents tackled her onto the table, slamming her face directly into a slice of pizza.
Today the woman, whose identity has not been revealed, faces up to 15 years in prison for human trafficking, while the boy is safe under the care of the State.
