Anyone else would have panicked, but not him. With the same steady hand he used to put it in, he started turning it backward, slowly, as if he were unscrewing a board and not his own skin. That detail—the calm in the middle of the scare—was what kept him from ending up in an emergency room (although that would have been advisable).
In the end, he managed to get it out whole, with no serious injuries, only having learned the lesson the hard way: gloves exist for a reason, and this time they almost reminded him in the worst possible way. 🧤⚠️
