A single photo was enough to bring four years of reputation crashing down. 📸
On August 12, RM and J-Hope went to Chris Brown and Usher’s show in Toronto. Minutes later, Brown uploaded an image posing next to both of them. For a large part of the ARMY fandom, that gesture reopened an old wound: in 2009, Brown pleaded guilty to brutally assaulting Rihanna.

RM didn’t say a word. Neither he nor his agency responded for seven days, and that silence came at a high cost. The Pixel Project, the organization that had him on its list of ‘male role models to follow’ since 2024, announced on August 19 that it was suspending him indefinitely. It will also review the article where it previously presented him as an example of respectful masculinity. 💔
