At the Meerkatchief animal café, in Seoul’s Gwangjin district, Anko the raccoon shares his day with meerkats, Bengal cats and, to the surprise of those who visit the place, with a dog who became his best friend. The video circulating on social media shows the two cuddled up with no sign of tension, as if they had spent their whole lives sleeping together.
There are no cages between them or forced distance: just two animals who decided to trust each other. In a city where exotic animal cafés are multiplying, this interspecies friendship became the most talked-about image of the week. Would you let your dog have a raccoon as a best friend?
