On September 15th, 20223, around 1:20 a.m. a Pullman police officer spotted a vehicle performing suspicious movements, such as turning without signaling and driving too close to the curve.
After following it for a while he turned on his beacon and pulled over the car towards a parking lop. The driver, 19 year old Mairead Quigley, shocked clear signs of intoxication, smelling like alcohol and having reddened eyes, as well as failing to present her driver’s licence and refusing to answer questions about her alcohol consumption.

Due to the officer’s suspicions, he asked her to get out of her vehicle to perform a sobriety field test, but she refused to cooperate. Considering her erratic behavior and all other evidence, she was arrested and taken to the police station.

There, after being read her rights, she agreed to take a breathalizer test that showed her blood alcohol level reached 0,179, way over the legal limit.
