A real story from 2012 has gone viral again on social media…and for good reason. A Saudi man in his 50s married four women, all professionally linked to the same secondary school in Jazan, in southwestern Saudi Arabia.

Who were his wives that year? A student at the school, her teacher, the educational supervisor, and the principal of the same institution.

According to reports from the newspaper Okaz, everything happened without conflicts or fights between anyone. In fact, amid the doubts, one of the wives stated that they had learned to live together without jealousy and that the school environment remained professional, despite how surreal their situation was.

The news was also covered by outlets such as The Independent and Gulf News, and it was widely discussed, drawing various reactions. Although a significant part of the population considers it unusual, in Saudi Arabia it is legally permitted to have up to four wives, which often clashes with other cultures that uphold different ethical limits.
