Coran was born in 2021, 12 weeks early and weighing just 830 grams. 💜 After spending his first 78 days in neonatal intensive care and receiving specialized care, he was finally able to go home to his family.

Today, in 2026, almost five years after that critical start, his story has a new chapter: he has just started school and, according to his mother, has no major health problems.

His mother, Jaclyn Kerrigan, recalls that difficult start as she supports the Held Close campaign by Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, which aims to help other babies and families facing the uncertainty of a neonatal hospital stay. “These babies are superheroes”, she said, remembering the strength of her son and so many other little ones who begin their lives fighting to make it through.
