Her huge ears, round eyes, and that little tongue sticking out meant the internet needed just one photograph to spot a rather obvious resemblance. And just as The Mandalorian had everyone obsessed with Baby Yoda 😂
Joy had been found injured on the street and taken to Cabarrus Animal Hospital, in Kannapolis, North Carolina, United States. There, veterinary assistant Jana Aviles, a Star Wars fan, took a few photos of her and shared them on Facebook.

The post quickly blew up. Thousands of people agreed that the little cat looked like a real-life version of Baby Yoda, especially because of her ears sticking out to the sides and her expression. Plus, Joy was missing her front teeth, which was why her tongue stayed out and made the resemblance even more adorable.
But behind the viral image was a rescue story. Despite the scars and health problems she arrived with, those who cared for her said she was extremely affectionate and calm.
And her newfound fame ended up helping her just when she needed it most: while she continued recovering at the clinic, people began coming forward, willing to travel from different parts of the country just to give the little “Baby Yoda” on four legs a home. ❤️
