No one knows his name. No one knows how many nights he has been sleeping alone on the street. The only thing visible in the video is this little dog approaching one of those mechanical rides that are usually outside supermarkets, and staying there, leaning against it, letting its back-and-forth motion pet him as if it were a hand.
There is no owner nearby. There is no one calling him by his name or scratching behind his ears. So he looked for the closest thing to human warmth he could find: the constant touch of a toy made of iron and plastic, motionless to any child, but enough for him in that moment.
Sometimes affection does not arrive in the way one expects. And this little dog, without saying a word, reminded us that the urge to feel loved does not distinguish between humans and animals — it simply looks for a place to feel a little less alone.
