Jass Pangkor Buskers played the guitar, and nobody looked at him.
The street musician was singing on a street in Malaysia while people walked past, between food stalls and market lights, without stopping for even a second. It was one of those nights when it seems like all the noise in the world drowns out a song. Until four kittens appeared, walking over and settling down in front of him.
All four stayed close to the musician, watching and listening in their own way, as if the guitar had awakened their curiosity. We don’t know how much they understood about music, but they seemed quite comfortable with the show, at least. And, for a while, Jass had a small four-legged audience.
The scene went viral because it contrasts with what we usually see: people coming and going on the street, focused on their own business, and four little ones who simply decided to stay for a while. Sometimes support comes from where you least expect it, reminding you that being truly heard can sometimes mean more than a distracted crowd.
