At Ysgol Bro Caereinion school in Wales, teacher Alice Ashton reportedly decided it was a better idea to drink from a bottle that “smelled like alcohol” and make her secondary school students dance to “The Macarena” at full volume instead of studying.
Shocked students said the teacher went from being reserved to completely out of control, insulting them and making obscene gestures. The bizarre incident took place in 2024, and although she denied everything, security cameras confirmed the chaos.
The Education Workforce Council ultimately ruled that her behavior was unacceptable and permanently banned her from teaching. Even more concerning, Ashton had already been previously convicted of drink-driving just months earlier.
Now disqualified from teaching, she reportedly sent an email saying she no longer lives in the country and has no interest in returning to the classroom. Quite a way to end a career.
