Enrique is not only breaking stereotypes with what he does, he also found a way to use his talent to help others.
Enrique Aquino was just 13 years old when he began attracting attention for his ability to apply eyelashes, a profession that is still primarily associated with women. Without worrying about those prejudices, he continued perfecting his technique until he turned it into his own business.
But he decided to give his work a special twist. During a campaign, instead of charging money for his services, he began accepting school supplies: his clients could bring notebooks, pencils, and other materials in exchange for an eyelash application.
The idea had a purpose behind it. The supplies collected would go to students who needed them, turning each service into a small way to help someone else.
Thus, at just 13 years old, Enrique managed to do two things at the same time: show that no profession has a gender and use what he knows how to do to lend others a helping hand.
