Shi Xiaotian, the goalkeeper for Foshan Nanshi, had to defend his goal with two balls rolling at the same time.

It all started with a throw-in in China’s second division. The main ball ended up near the line, but never left the field. A Foshan Nanshi player thought it had and put another ball into play. From that moment on, there were two balls on the pitch.

Shaanxi Union kept attacking with the first ball. Shi Xiaotian saved the shot, but the rebound fell to an opponent, who sent the official ball into the net. Almost at the same moment, the second ball, which Mame Ndiaye had kicked toward his own penalty area, also crossed the line. The home players celebrated.

Referee Xu Yan stopped play, disallowed the goal, and showed Ndiaye a yellow card. Even so, Shaanxi Union won 5-1.
