Kenny Ethan Jones, a transgender activist and writer from London, made the decision in 2024 to pause his medical transition to retrieve and donate his own eggs to his sister Kizzy, who had been struggling with infertility for years.
On May 8, 2024, Kenny underwent the operation and doctors were able to retrieve 19 eggs in total, freezing 11 and leaving the other 8 to mature overnight.
At the beginning of 2025, the embryo transfer was successful and Kizzy became pregnant, giving birth to a healthy baby at the end of 2025. Kenny documented the entire process on his social media, where the story went viral and moved millions of people around the world.
