Nothing more ironic than being a professional hunter and having your biggest threat in the field be… your own dog. 🐶🔫 Özgür Gevrekoglu, 32 years old, went hunting with three friends on the Kizlan plateau, in Turkey’s Samsun province. Everything calm. Successful day. Time to head home. It was while putting the gear away that the story took a turn that no one — absolutely no one — had in the script. Gevrekoglu left his loaded shotgun in the trunk of the car. The dog jumped inside, stepped on the weapon, and with its paw pulled the trigger. The shot hit him in the stomach. He died at the scene. One of his friends, the owner of the rifle, was detained as a suspect… and then released when it became clear that the one who fired the shot had four legs. The authorities classified it as an accident. The Turkish media called it “a one-in-a-million chance of death”. The dog, no comment. 🐾
