Travis Scott arrived at the New York/New Jersey stadium on June 13 like any soccer fan: braids, sunglasses, and a Brazil jersey worn with pride. What he did not anticipate was that a TVE commentator was about to make history for all the wrong reasons. 😂

In the middle of the live broadcast of Brazil vs. Morocco — the opening matchday of Group C at the 2026 World Cup — the camera focused on him in the VIP stands and the announcer blurted out, without a second of hesitation: “We can see Ronaldinho there enjoying his national team.” Ronaldinho. The rapper from Houston. The very same man who has tattoos all the way up his neck and whose music plays at every after-party on the planet. 🤦

Social media took less than a minute to explode. The TVE clip became the most shared meme of the day, overshadowing even the match’s 1-1 draw. In the stands were also New York mayor Zohran Mamdani and Tom Brady, but neither was given a new identity live on air. Only Travis Scott had that privilege. 👑😭
