Oliver Tree posted a video in which he claimed that the Illuminati had contacted him to offer him a contract that he had to sign with his own blood. According to his words, he refused — and the response he received was direct threats: they told him he would die soon if he went ahead with his decision.

The video resurfaced strongly on social media just as posts were circulating that linked his departure from Atlantic Records to a situation of real danger. In those clips, the musician claimed that the label had threatened him after his resignation: “They told me to watch my back and that I would regret leaving them”. The context seemed to lend credibility to the Illuminati story, and thousands of users connected both narratives as if they were part of the same story.

However, the fact check is clear: the video about the Illuminati and the blood contract was published on April 1 and is part of an April Fools joke created by Oliver Tree himself. There is no verifiable evidence of real threats or of any contact with any organization. The credibility of the statements about Atlantic Records has also not been corroborated by independent sources.
