The life of Jade Almond, a young woman from Wigan, United Kingdom, took a dramatic turn in 2018 when, at just 16 years old and playing as a football goalkeeper, she suffered a head injury that left her unable to walk and forced her into months of rehabilitation.

After seven months of effort, just as she was finally managing to stand again, tragedy struck once more: on her way home, the very day she finished her treatment, a car accident left her paralyzed again. “I couldn’t move, I couldn’t believe it,” she recalled.

Against all odds, she managed to recover for a second time and now, as an adult, hopes to inspire others with her story.
