The original plan was simple: release him as soon as he got better. But a bird with reduced vision doesn’t survive long out there, exposed to predators he would spot too late.
Tigris and her husband made a decision that few people would make for a pigeon: they built a two-story wooden cage, filled it with toys and a comfortable nest, and opened the doors of their apartment so he could explore it freely.
