Sometimes two completely opposite fears can end up being exactly what two individuals need to understand each other 🥹.
Teresa Hwang had been afraid of dogs practically her entire life after experiencing two traumatic incidents involving them during her childhood. Even so, she decided to try to overcome that fear, and that’s when she met Boo, a rescued dog with a problem of his own: he was terrified of humans.

At first, neither seemed to know quite what to do with the other. Boo kept his distance and Teresa still felt afraid, so trust had to be built little by little. She respected his pace, and he slowly began to approach until they both stopped seeing each other as a threat.
Over time, Teresa was able to pet him, hug him, and finally give him the home he needed. Boo, for his part, found a person with whom he could feel safe.
She adopted a dog thinking she would have to learn to stop being afraid of him, never imagining that he would also have to learn exactly the same thing about her.
