He probably expected to meet an actor, but ended up living out his own scene in Middle-earth 😂

During the filming of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, a young fan had the chance to visit the set and meet Lawrence Makoare, the actor who played Lurtz, the imposing Uruk-hai leader.

But Makoare decided not to just calmly pose for a photo. Still fully in costume, he picked up the boy while wearing the same menacing expression as his character. The little one reacted by screaming, and the images captured the perfect contrast between the terrifying orc and the actor who was simply playing with him.

Afterward, they even posed together with a sword, although the boy’s expression showed that the visit had turned out to be quite a bit more intense than he had probably expected.

Lurtz was one of the most intimidating villains in the first film, but behind the prosthetics was an actor willing to step out of character to give a young fan an anecdote he could tell for the rest of his life 😂❤️
