Some people react to a scare with therapy, and some do it with humor.
After surviving a real car accident, Reddit user @sushicats decided that laughter was the best response. She was hit by an SUV and nearly took the full impact of the front of the truck, but got away with a few scrapes and a broken ankle with torn ligaments.
For Halloween she dressed up as Regina George, the character played by Rachel McAdams, recreating the Mean Girls scene in which the character appears after being hit by a bus. Pink dress, flower crown, and, of course, the neck brace. Not a single detail was left out. She smiles at the camera as if fate hadn’t tried to steal her spotlight.
It was the third time she’d broken that same ankle and, as part of her recovery, she was doing two physical therapy sessions a week.
Apparently, when life runs you over, there’s always the option of making fun of it. 🎃
