Fifty years earlier, a man from Kaohsiung decided to adopt a child and give him everything he had: his surname, his trust, and, in time, the path to his inheritance.
Today, that man is over 90 years old. And according to the court record, since 2022 his adopted son stopped visiting him, calling him, and being there. The father claimed abandonment; the Kaohsiung Family Court reviewed the case and confirmed that the son had neglected his caregiving duties toward the man who raised him.
