What began as a cosmetic touch-up at 17 ended in a medical ordeal. Hilary reported that, after trusting a supposed specialist for a lip augmentation with hyaluronic acid, she was injected with silicone containing industrial oil, a substance banned since 1999.

The material migrated through her face, affecting her nose and chin, which forced her to undergo three reconstructive surgeries between Colombia and Spain, the last of which lasted 7 hours in 2026.

After years of physical pain and a high emotional cost, Hilary is now fighting to regain mobility in her mouth while the person responsible continues to practice.
