Officially, the campaign questions technological perfection and champions human creativity over artificial intelligence.
But many saw a dig at Musk. Vivian, 22, is a trans woman and is publicly estranged from her father, who in the past made comments rejecting her transition. She even legally changed her surname and has accused Musk of distorting her story.
That is why, although Desigual never confirmed that the robot represents Optimus, the resemblance and the phrase “He was designed to obey. I wasn’t” made the internet quickly connect the campaign to Elon. 🤖💚
