It all began when Jenna Ortega, 23, the star of “Wednesday”, gave an interview to Esquire in which she recalled that as a child, when she was just starting out in acting, she sometimes went the entire day without eating or drinking water so as not to “get in the way” on set.
Those words, combined with her noticeably thinner appearance, sparked a wave of comments about her health.
Instagram user Amrita Singh posted a message asking people to stop making assumptions: “Her body belongs only to her”, she wrote, adding that Jenna does not owe anyone an explanation.
