Just days away from his highly anticipated return to the octagon to face Max Holloway at UFC 329, Conor McGregor surprised everyone by revealing a radical change in his preparation.

The Irishman said that, for the first time in his entire career, he decided to abstain from intimate relations during his training camp.

“The fire is roaring in my belly and is about to be unleashed. I have practiced abstinence in this camp; it is the first time I have done it, from any kind of physical contact. It has been intense”.

According to his explanation, this measure is part of an effort to arrive in the best possible physical and mental condition for one of the most important fights of his comeback.

The bout will mark McGregor’s return to the UFC after five years away due to the serious leg injury he suffered in 2021.
