Patricia Krentcil, popularly known as “Tan Mom”, said she had an unexpected encounter while leaving a restaurant with a friend.
The 58-year-old woman said on her podcast Light Tan Up that ICE agents approached her and asked if she was a U.S. citizen. Krentcil said yes and claimed the situation nearly ended with her in handcuffs, though she was ultimately able to leave without being detained.
“Once you get into those vehicles, you don’t know where you’re going anymore”, she recalled, describing the incident as terrifying. According to Krentcil, her signature dark tan may have been why the agents noticed her and singled her out.
For now, this is only her account: she has not publicly disclosed the exact date or location of the alleged encounter, and the incident has not been independently confirmed by authorities.
