Julie Andrews is 90 years old and has just closed a chapter that began more than sixty years ago.

The actress who gave Mary Poppins her voice and soul, who reigned as the beloved Queen Clarisse in “The Princess Diaries”, and who sang her way through the Alps as Maria in “The Sound of Music”, announced that she is retiring from acting. There is no scandal or tragedy behind it: just a woman who decided she had already given all she had to give in front of a camera.
