More than 70 dogs left a dog meat farm behind. Humane World for Animals rescued them in Gangjin, South Korea, after their 80-year-old owner gave up the animals and pledged to leave the industry.

The organization, which says it has rescued nearly 3,000 dogs since 2015, describes this operation as its last mission of this kind before the full ban, scheduled for February 7, 2027.

The dogs are expected to go far from the farm next: the organization announced that it will seek adoptive homes for them in the United States and Canada.
