On the coast of Yucatán, a fisherman pulled an octopus out of the water, and the octopus decided that his face was the best place to stay.
The tentacles stuck to his face and neck, and that’s when the struggle began: he tried to pull it off while the octopus clung on as if its life depended on it (which, in fact, it did). Instead of helping, his companion took out his phone and recorded everything while laughing hysterically, with laughter so contagious that it’s impossible not to smile when watching it.
The fisherman later said that at times he felt the octopus was suffocating him and that he genuinely had trouble breathing. The clip was shared by the user Gaspar Blanco and went viral within hours, dividing people between those who laughed themselves silly and those who wondered why no one had helped sooner. In the end, the fisherman managed to pull it off by himself, and the octopus, which hadn’t asked to be there either, ended up on the floor of the boat.
