The competitor, who lives in France, completed the demanding 100-kilometer course with 6,500 meters of elevation gain in just over 16 hours and 53 minutes. To maintain her performance and breast milk production, Case followed a strict nutritional strategy, consuming between 80 and 100 grams of carbohydrates per hour.

With the support of her mentor, Dr. Megan Roche, the runner showed that it is possible to achieve elite athletic goals without neglecting the biological and hydration needs of a first-time mother.
