During the lead-up to the 2026 World Cup, Dominik Armenta and Alfredo Valenzuela, two Mexican content creators, made a bet that quickly caught the attention of their followers.

The promise was tied to the performance of the Mexican national team: if the team was eliminated from the tournament, they would post a video with explicit content on an adult platform.

With Mexico finally out of the World Cup, the bet stopped being a simple social media joke and the time came to fulfill it.

Valenzuela offered his community the choice between donating money to a charity or posting a video starring the couple on a platform specialized for adults if the country ended up being eliminated: the majority voted for the second option.

According to media reports, the clip was uploaded to Pornhub on July 15; however, the following day, Valenzuela said it could be removed on July 17.

Some followers celebrated that they kept their word, while others questioned the kinds of promises some creators make to gain attention online.

What is certain is that the bet achieved something many seek on social media: becoming a topic of conversation before, during, and after the sporting event.
