Andrew Tate, 38 years old, is being held in the Special Housing Unit at FDC Miami, with no commissary, no calls, and no yard time.
On Sunday, he posted on social media that his only source of water is a shower faucet he described as “brown and dirty”, and that he is not allowed to have bottled water. He says they are forcing him to drink poisoned water and that it is causing him persistent stomach problems. (Does he know he is in prison?)
The official response was cold and precise. The Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed to TMZ that FDC Miami receives an annual certification from Miami-Dade Water and Sewer, and that the water is certified as safe to drink at this time. No agency supported Tate’s version.
Meanwhile, he and his brother Tristan remain detained in Miami, arrested this month by U.S. marshals under a U.K. extradition order accusing them of abuse, human trafficking, and exploitation.
His lawyer, Joseph McBride, said he was “gravely concerned” about both men’s physical and psychological health in solitary confinement. The White House has already clarified that Trump will not intervene in the case.
