Andy Cohen cried when he reunited with his dog, whom he had to give up for adoption to protect his son. “He was a little aggressive…”

Andy Cohen didn’t want to part with Wacha.

He had adopted him from a Virginia shelter in 2013, and they spent nearly seven years together, until in 2020, following the birth of his son Benjamin, an incident forced him to make the most painful decision: to give him to a Connecticut family that already cared for him during his trips. Cohen said it then with a broken heart: he felt like a piece of his soul was leaving him.

But the bond was never completely broken. Since then, the Bravo host has gone to visit Wacha time and again: in 2020, in 2021, in 2023, and now once more, in a reunion he shared on Instagram on July 22. In the video, he can be seen hugging him, grateful, telling him that he changed his life. Wacha is doing well, happy, and cared for by Sherman in Connecticut. And Cohen keeps going to see him, year after year, to remind him that he never stopped being his.
