It was during an interview with Alex Rodríguez on the program ¡Siéntese quien pueda! that she was asked whether she would follow Shakira’s path, that habit of turning breakups into songs. Ángela replied that she would never feel comfortable doing that. “I would never feel comfortable singing a song inspired by something negative about another person or “taking a shot at someone”, she stated. Although she had previously praised the Colombian for being a well-rounded artist.
The problem is that the internet remembers. Screenshots circulated of a different Ángela, the one who once confessed that she would love to record a duet with Shakira precisely to take shots at her exes. The contradiction soon exploded, and among the comments, a phrase that had already gone viral resurfaced: that she doesn’t dedicate songs, but she does other things with the same intention.
