28-year-old Angela Buckner boarded a plane in 2023 with the goal of making it to a date her friends had arranged in New York City.
However, fate changed her plans when she began to notice the warmth with which 32-year-old flight attendant Brittany Hairston cared for the passengers. Angela, who had initially planned to sleep during the flight, was captivated by the crew member’s kindness toward an elderly couple.
The pair stayed in touch, and the relationship progressed until, on their first anniversary, Buckner organized a cinematic proposal by renting out a theater to screen Hairston’s favorite movie. The emotional event ended with an official engagement in front of their loved ones.
