Spain has just become world champion in New York. The Cup is raised, the confetti falls, and there, right at football’s most sacred moment, Argentina decided to look the other way. Literally.
The players coached by Lionel Scaloni turned toward their own fans while Spain celebrated with the trophy in their hands, breaking a protocol that is almost never broken: the runner-up stays, watches, applauds. Argentina did not.

Spanish media did not let it slide and spoke directly of “disrespect” 🇪🇸🏆. Was it a calculated gesture, an emotional reaction in the moment, or simply the wounded pride of a team that dreamed of a different ending? The debate has already taken hold and promises to continue.
