Since her days as Cat Valentine on Victorious, Ariana Grande has undergone an obvious transformation in her appearance. However, her most recent physical changes have once again sparked concern among some followers, especially over her increasingly slender figure and pronounced collarbones and cheekbones.

Over the years, the singer also radically changed her style. She left behind her signature ponytail and heavy makeup to play Glinda in Wicked, adopting a blonde, luminous, and much softer aesthetic.
In 2024, during an interview with Vanity Fair alongside Cynthia Erivo, Grande acknowledged that she had received fillers and Botox in different areas, although she said she had stopped undergoing those procedures years earlier. She also denied having had a rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, facelift, or BBL.

But the current debate is not focused solely on cosmetic surgery. Following her promotional appearances and the music video for Petal, some users began speculating about alleged illnesses, eating disorders, or the use of weight-loss injections. Others were directly more cruel and described her appearance as “skeletal”.
Grande had already responded to this type of comment during the promotion of Wicked: “I’ve been doing this in front of the public and being a specimen in a Petri dish since I was 16 or 17, so I’ve heard it all”.

She also questioned the obsession with analyzing bodies: “I’ve heard every version of what’s supposedly wrong with me. And then you fix it, and then it’s wrong for other reasons”.
So far, Ariana has not confirmed that she has any illness or that her current appearance is the result of a specific treatment. What she has made clear is that she has spent more than a decade enduring millions of people commenting on her body as if it belonged to them.
