Ana Mostarac didn’t write an angry thread or send a formal complaint.
When Elon Musk tweeted, in late 2022, about the change that let people see how many times a tweet had been viewed, she chose another path: she picked up her pencil and drew him. A caricature of Musk with a message that seemed like a threat but was pure humor: “Get rid of the view count feature, @Elon Musk, or I’ll pick up my pencil again”.

The tweet, posted on December 24, 2022, surpassed 2 million interactions. Some summed it up this way: “This is the least violent way of expressing anger that I’ve ever seen”.
The joke didn’t end there. Days later, Ana shared a screenshot showing a notice from Twitter: “By clicking delete, you acknowledge that your tweet violated Twitter’s rules“. According to her, the platform wanted to take down her drawing for violating the rules.

A protest made with a pencil and good humor ended up making the social network itself uncomfortable.
