Emily Morrison was 8 years old when the movie Jaws left her terrified. She told her father that sharks were going to eat her and began to look at the ocean with fear. Instead of feeding that fear, he took her to the library and asked her to find a real reason to hate them.

That search changed her life. Over the years, Emily became a shark biologist, works with fossil teeth, and leads experiences related to these animals. Her childhood fear ended up transforming into such a strong calling that she is now known as the “Shark Lady”.

Her body also tells that story. She has 106 shark tattoos from her feet to her neck, with 71 different species represented. In May 2026, she earned a Guinness World Record as the woman with the most sharks tattooed on her body 🦈
