Lisandro Martínez scored in Manchester United’s 4-0 win over Sabah and, after the final whistle, responded live to Jamie Carragher. The former Liverpool defender had criticized him over his height for playing center-back when he joined the Premier League. When asked what he thought of him as a player, Licha replied: “As a player, a good person”.
On the CBS show, Micah Richards asked him who his favorite was, and Martínez replied: “You know, Thierry (Henry)”. Then Carragher wanted to know which defenders he preferred and heard: “I only watch quality players”. The remark provoked laughter in the studio; on the pitch, Martínez had already made his mark in the thrashing.
